A few of my favourite things for this year’s festive theme of handpainted mice in the kitchen baking cookies and mince pies.
I had the most fun putting together the tiny tray of cookies which measures 1.5 inches square. The cookies were made with my blossom cutter. I used my craft knife to sharpen the edges, filled each centre with ‘jam’ and a light dusting of cornflour brought them to life.
As ever, the key to a good finish is allowing plenty of drying time at each stage.
